Social Media Management — Digital Trace Agency

Most local businesses do not have a social media problem, they have a consistency problem. The account exists, the last post is from March, and the one thing that would actually work — showing the work — never gets filmed, because everyone is busy doing the work. We take the whole thing off your desk: strategy, posts, short-form video, captions and scheduling.

The format that moves the needle now is short-form video — Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. For a trade or a clinic that is a real advantage, because the raw material is already happening on site every day. You send footage from your phone; we turn it into edited, captioned, platform-formatted video.

What You Get

  • A Content Plan Tied To Your Actual Services And Season
  • Posts And Short-Form Video Produced And Scheduled For You
  • Captions And Hooks Written To Be Found, Not Just Seen
  • One Monthly Report: Reach, Engagement, Profile Visits, Enquiries

What we produce each month

A content calendar agreed up front, then static posts and carousels designed in your brand, short-form video edited from footage you capture, written captions with hooks, and scheduling across the platforms that matter for your business. Typically Instagram, Facebook and either TikTok or YouTube Shorts, plus LinkedIn where the buyer is commercial rather than residential.

How the video actually gets made

You film on a phone. We send a short shot list for each job — before, during, the reveal, a ten-second explanation to camera — and you send the clips over. We handle editing, captions, pacing, music, aspect ratios and the platform-specific versions. No shoot days, no crew standing around on your site.

What social media management costs

Across the industry, social media management runs roughly $500 to $5,000 a month, and short-form video is what moves you up that range — agencies commonly charge $500-$3,000 per finished Reel once strategy, scripting, editing and formatting are included. Our packages bundle a fixed number of posts and videos per month, so the number is predictable rather than per-asset.

Does social media actually bring in jobs?

Rarely as a direct-response channel on its own, and any agency promising otherwise is overselling. What it reliably does is win the comparison: a homeowner who found you on Google checks your profile before calling, and an account showing recent, local, finished work removes the doubt. It works best alongside SEO for discovery and paid ads for reach.

Social Media Management: common questions

Do I have to appear on camera?
No. Plenty of the best-performing content for trades and clinics is the work itself - the tear-off, the install, the before and after, the satisfying detail shot. Talking to camera does build trust faster and we will encourage it, but we can build a full calendar from job footage, finished-project photos and designed posts alone.
Which platforms do you actually post to?
Whichever ones your customers use, not all of them. For residential local services that is usually Instagram, Facebook and either TikTok or YouTube Shorts. For commercial or B2B work we add LinkedIn. Spreading the same content thinly across six platforms performs worse than doing three properly.
Who films the video content?
You or your crew, on a phone, following a short shot list we send for each job. We handle everything after that: editing, captions, pacing, music and the platform-specific aspect ratios. That keeps the cost far below agency shoot days, and because it is real footage from real jobs it outperforms staged production.
How long before social media shows results?
Reach and engagement usually move within the first month. Profile visits and enquiries typically take two to three months of consistent posting, because the account has to accumulate enough recent work for a visitor to judge you on. Anyone quoting faster than that on organic social is guessing.
